Che cos'è?
MBnet is a payment solution that allows making online transactions with a credit card without having to disclose the credit card information to the merchant. To make the payment, the MBnet service generates a virtual and temporary card number associated with real credit card information (without leaving the merchant page). To access this service, users need only have a credit card type American Express, MasterCard, Maestro, etc... issued by an institution participating in the system.
Come funziona?
- First, users must register their credit card number to the service MBnet via their own bank website or the Multibanco ATMs
- They must install a plug-in on their browser to use MBnet
- Users choose to pay by MBnet
- They enter their login and password
- They introduce the desired value in Euros
- MBNet generates a temporary card number and expiration date (associated with the real credit card of the user)
- Users enter their temporary information in the fields provided for that purpose to pay for online purchases
